ADEME
French ecological transition agency : publishes the reference emission factors (Base Carbone®) used in carbon footprints.

BEGES
French mandatory GHG reporting : required for certain organisations under French environmental law. Covers Scopes 1, 2 and 3.

Bilan carbone
Comprehensive measurement of an organisation's GHG emissions over a given period, expressed in tCO₂e. Covers direct and indirect emissions across Scopes 1, 2 and 3.

CSRD
Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive : EU directive requiring standardised ESG reporting (ESRS) from large European companies, from the 2024 financial year.

ESRS E1
European Sustainability Reporting Standard on climate change : defines carbon reporting requirements under the CSRD (GHG emissions, trajectory, climate risks).

Coefficient that converts a measurable activity (km, kWh, €) into an equivalent quantity of GHG emissions. Main reference in France: ADEME Base Carbone®.
